As Konya Technical University, we participated in the Central Anatolia Career Fair (CACF'25), as one of its stakeholders, showcasing the projects of our students and academics.
The Central Anatolia Career Fair (CACF'25), organized under the coordination of the Presidency Human Resources Office, was held this year in Konya, hosted by Selçuk University. The event brought together representatives from both the public and private sectors, providing young individuals planning their careers with valuable opportunities to gain experiences that will guide their professional development.
Our university participated in the fair under the leadership of the Career Center, with contributions from the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, the Faculty of Architecture and Design, the Vocational School of Technical Sciences, the Directorate of Health, Culture, and Sports, the Coordinatorship of Student Communities, and the Coordinatorship of Corporate Communications.
At the fair, held on February 20-21 at the Selçuklu Congress Center, the projects of our students, which received awards at TEKNOFEST 2024, were showcased at our university's booth. Academics and students from the Textile, Clothing, Footwear, and Leather Department of the Vocational School of Technical Sciences, as well as the Jewelry and Jewelry Design program of the Arts and Crafts Department, had the opportunity to showcase their handcrafted designs and products.
Approximately 50 students from our student communities, including the Artificial Intelligence and Image Processing Community (YAZGİT), the Software Development Community (YGT), and the Motorsports Community (MOST), volunteered to support the fair. Additionally, the Sancaktar Team had the opportunity to present their award-winning projects to visitors over the course of two days.
On the final day of the event, Dr. Mehmet Balcı, Deputy Director of the Vocational School of Technical Sciences, moderated a panel titled "Business and People in the Age of Artificial Intelligence," sponsored by Atiker Software Gold. The panel shared valuable insights to guide the younger generation on their career paths. At the conclusion of the panel, our Rector, Prof. Dr. Osman Nuri Çelik, presented plaques to the panelists.
