The “Selçuklu Tekno-Sel Technology and Robot Competition 2026” organized under the leadership of Selçuklu Municipality has concluded. In the competition, where projects in different technology categories were presented before a jury, our university’s teams were deemed worthy of a total of 7 awards, becoming one of the prominent institutions of the competition.
Our university participated in TEKNO-SEL 2026 with original and innovative projects, alongside many other institutions and organizations. The projects that won a total of 7 awards for our teams within the scope of the university category are as follows:
In the “Special Category,” the project titled “NaviCore,” supervised by Mustafa Emre Durna and prepared by Umut Başev and Cafer Karalı, was awarded first place. In the same category, the project “Smart Waste Management and Route Optimization,” supervised by Ahmet Cihat Özbek and prepared by students Ali Serhan Yılmaz and Ali İhsan Özbek, won second place. The third-place award in the category was given to the project “biKavşak,” supervised by İrem İnegöl and prepared by Ahmet Can İnliceliler.
Also, in the “Special Category,” the project “Kon-Bis,” supervised by Mehmet Melih Akçam and prepared by Esmanur Polattimur, received the jury special award, while the project “AI-Supported Agricultural Plant Health System,” supervised by Meryem Derin and prepared by Muhammed Melih Geylani, became the star of the voting.
In another category within the university category, “Free Project,” the project “Looking to the Sky” (Göğe Bakan), supervised by Mustafa Akgün and prepared by students Mert Hüseyin Çağlayan and Beyza Akbaş, was deemed worthy of first place, while the project “Chemical Detector Equipped Debris Search and Reconnaissance Robot,” supervised by Ömer Uludağ and prepared by Doğa Suden Has, was chosen as the star of the voting.
CONGRATULATIONS FROM OUR RECTOR TO THE YOUTH
In a brief evaluation on the matter, our Rector, Prof. Dr. Osman Nuri Çelik, stated that such competitions are of great importance in broadening the horizons of young people and certifying their success. Expressing great pride in seeing the determination, enthusiasm, and determination to produce among the youth, our Rector congratulated the students and their supervising academicians who won awards in the competition. Our Rector also extended his thanks to the institutions and organizations that contributed to the organization of the competition.
