SUSTAINABLE PROCUREMENT POLICY

Konya Technical University plans its procurement processes in line with a management approach that is transparent, accountable and ensures equality while safeguarding the public interest in meeting the needs and demands of all administrative units, faculties, institutes and vocational schools.

Procurement processes are developed in accordance with the principles of effective, economical, efficient and lawful use of public resources and in line with the goals of Konya Technical University based on its mission, vision and core values.

The Sustainable Procurement Policy of Konya Technical University consists of the following principles:

Compliance with Legislation
Procurement processes are carried out in accordance with the relevant legislation, primarily including Public Procurement Law No. 4734, Public Procurement Contracts Law No. 4735, and Public Financial Management and Control Law No. 5018.

Efficient Use of Resources
The financial resources of the University are used in an economical, efficient and needs-oriented manner while considering the public interest.

Transparency and Competition
Procurement processes are conducted in accordance with the principles of equality, competition, transparency and accountability.

Local and Responsible Supply
Where possible, local and national producers are supported, and ethical production as well as a sustainable supply chain approach are encouraged.

Life Cycle Approach
Not only the purchase cost of products or services but also their service life, maintenance costs, energy consumption and environmental impacts are taken into consideration.
