About Us

University Administration The Secretary General, as the head of the organization, is responsible to the Rectorate for the performance and control of all administrative duties; ensuring the efficient, orderly, and harmonious functioning of the units within the University's administrative organization, fulfilling their duties in accordance with the relevant laws and regulations, as well as the decisions of the Board of Directors and the Senate.

 

Mission

Our mission is to ensure that all administrative organizations of the University work effectively, efficiently, regularly and harmoniously, to be the reporter of the University Administrative Board and Senate, and to establish a modern performance management by providing communication with internal and external stakeholders.

 

Vision

To establish a transparent, participatory administrative and academic management system that will enable the University to become a research university whose graduates are committed to universal values, are researchers, productive, collaborative, self-confident, and competent; produce science and technology through sustainable and innovative research; offer human and environmentally focused solutions for the development and welfare of society; and design and carry out pioneering research activities in their fields.


Authority, Duties and Responsibilities

The General Secretariat consists of a General Secretary, a maximum of two Deputy General Secretaries, and affiliated units. The General Secretary is the head of the University's administrative organization and is responsible to the Rector for the functioning of this organization. In addition to the duties he/she performs as the head of the University's administrative organization, the General Secretary, through himself/herself and the units affiliated with him/her, performs the following duties:

  • Ensuring the efficient, orderly and harmonious functioning of the units within the University organization.
  • Acting as a rapporteur in the University Senate and the University Board of Directors without participating in the voting; ensuring the writing, preservation and safekeeping of the decisions taken in these boards.
  • Communicating the decisions of the University Senate and the University Board of Directors to the units affiliated with the University.
  • To make recommendations to the Rector regarding personnel to be assigned to the university's administrative organization,
  • To ensure the execution of press and public relations services through the Corporate Communication Coordination Office,

 

Commissions within the General Secretariat

Commission for Combating Addiction and Violence

The "Commission for Combating Addiction and Violence" operates within the General Secretariat to raise awareness among university personnel about substance, cigarette, alcohol, screen, social media, etc. addictions and to prepare the ground for and manage the processes of combating these addictions; and also to determine and carry out protective and supportiveactivities regarding the prevention of violence against women, children, animals, etc.
