Central Laboratory Application and Research Centre

About Us

The Central Laboratory Application and Research Center (MERLAB) was established within Konya Technical University on March 22, 2021. Our Center aims to strengthen university–industry collaboration and accelerate the transfer of applicable research outcomes to industry. It also seeks to contribute to the increase of national and international patents, utility models, and industrial design registrations, while fostering the development of joint scientific and technological projects with public institutions and private sector organizations. In addition, our Center aspires to serve as a focal point for scientific collaboration between the university’s staff, academics, and students and universities and research institutions both in Türkiye and abroad.

Mission

  • To support researchers in relevant units across our country by providing a suitable environment for conducting research, testing, measurement, and analysis activities.
  • To enhance the university’s potential for conducting national and international projects.
  • To provide testing, measurement, and analysis services to external institutions, organizations, and individuals.
  • To promote the development of joint scientific and technological projects with public and private sector organizations.
  • To serve as a focal point for scientific collaboration between our university’s academics and students and universities, research institutions, and industry partners at national and international levels, and to provide a suitable working environment for the effective execution of projects.
  • To contribute to efforts aimed at strengthening university–industry collaboration and accelerating the transfer of applicable outcomes to industry.

To provide researchers in our country with an efficient and suitable working environment that fosters the development of creative ideas and projects, while enhancing the quality of scientific activities.
