In collaboration with our University’s Technical Sciences Vocational School, the Directorate of Continuing Education Application and Research Center (KTÜNSEM), and the Machinery Supply, Maintenance and Repair Department of the Konya Büyükşehir Belediyesi, the training titled “Wooden Building Materials Used in Interior and Exterior Structures” was conducted in two sessions on December 3 and 5.

During the training delivered by Lecturer Dr. Mustafa Selmani Muslu, it was aimed to provide technical personnel with knowledge about the properties of wood, its application details, interaction with the environment, and related topics, considering its wide range of applications.

This training, which was offered free of charge within the scope of social contribution activities, aimed to contribute to the implementation of wood-focused façade applications in line with the principles of sustainability and public savings.

In this initiative, which aims to contribute to presenting our city’s strong historical heritage and unique natural environment to society through natural materials, our University’s Quality Coordination Office provided significant support to ensure that continuous improvement processes were carried out meticulously. One of the most important contributions was the meeting held with the Quality Coordination Office to ensure the successful representation of process management focused on the Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) Cycle within the scope of the event. Subsequently, the details of the process were planned through an event planning meeting.

At the end of the event, participants were asked to complete social contribution activity evaluation surveys in order to review feedback and implement the necessary improvements. In addition, positive feedback was received during meetings with unit administrators regarding the University’s careful approach throughout the implementation process of the event.

At the conclusion of the event, the University’s positive attitude toward continuous development-oriented collaborations was conveyed to the administrators of Konya Büyükşehir Belediyesi who contributed to the organization of the training, as well as to the personnel who participated in the program.
